M1 FOR VETS PROJECT
M1 for Vets Project began in November of 2005. The idea was to provide a returning veteran from the War on Terror with an M1 Garand, the main battle rifle for the U.S. military during WWII and Korea. Our first M1 was presented on 24Dec2005. Since then, we have presented over 50 rifles, and have 10 being made ready. We have also made it possible seven of our recipients to attend the CMP National Matches in Camp Perry, Ohio, in the summer of 2006. Donations have ranged from $1 to entire rifles. Any help is greatly appreciated! Contact J.J. O’Shea at jjoshea@msn.com
